Sher-e-Punjab T20 League: History, Winners, Teams, Players and Everything to Know
The Sher-e-Punjab T20 League is a professional domestic T20 cricket competition organised by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA). The tournament provides Punjab’s emerging cricketers with an opportunity to compete alongside established names in a franchise-based environment. The 2026 edition marked a major new chapter, featuring six city-based teams and 27 matches.
Sher-e-Punjab T20 League History
The Sher-e-Punjab T20 competition was first introduced in 2023. The first two editions used selector-picked squads rather than the auction-based franchise model introduced in 2026. BLV Blasters dominated the early years, winning both the 2023 and 2024 editions.
The tournament then returned in 2026 with a revamped structure. Six city franchises were created, with players selected through an auction. This made the 2026 season an important transition for Punjab cricket and gave the league a more conventional professional T20 format.
